Russia/U.S. 3-5-2008: Russian bear bombers fly close and then over the USS Nimitz. They were escorted away by U.S. fighter jets. (Russia risked starting World War III when they pulled that stunt!)

Venezuela 3-5-2008: Troop deployment to the border with Columbia is finishing up.

Ecuador/Venezuela 3-2-2008: Both countries move military forces to their borders with Columbia.

India 3-2-2008: Tests Submarine launched ballistic missile.

Northern Iraq/Turkey 2-26-2008: Turkey still attempting to crush the PKK in northern Iraq. Iraq wants them to withdrawal immediately.

N. Korea: 2-23-2008: Russian ship detained by N. Korean military.

Russia: 2-22-2008: Threatening to use force in Kosovo.

Kosovo: 2-22-2008: Clashes with UN police.

U.S./Serbia: 2-21-2008: US embassy burned by protestors.

U.S. 2-20-2008: Aegis destroyer USS Lake Erie shoots down U.S. malfunctioning spy satellite at 10:26 p.m. eastern time.

U.S./Iran 1-11-2008: Bush warns of conflict in the Gulf if Iran doesn't stop taunting U.S. forces there.

U.S./Iran: 1-7-2008: U.S. navy nearly opens fire on Iranian Revolutionary Guard gunboats in the Persian Gulf over the past weekend.

U.S./Russia: 1-5-2008: Russians are expected to participate in the 'RimPac' exercises this year.

N. Korea: 1-4-2008: Threatens that U.S. wants to start a nuclear war.

N./S. Korea: 12-18-2007: Military talks fail.

Russia 12-18-2007: Tests ICBM...May target missiles at U.S. anti-missile system. Sends nuclear fuel to Iran.

Russia 12-12-2007: WIthdraws from the (CFE) Conventional Forces of Europe Treaty. Says talks to resume it are possible. Fears are that it could spark a new arms race in the region.

Taiwan 12-12-2007: Legislature to approve U.S. upgrade to their patriot missile system. China will probably eminently disapprove.

N./S. Korea: 12-12-2007: Military talks with North Korea begin.

Lebanon: 12-12-2007: Military general assassinated. Fears of more Lebanon unrest.

N./S. Korea: 12-10-2007: S. Korea rescues a North Korean ship adrift for 27 days.

U.S./China 12-4-2007: China expresses 'grave concern' over the USS Kitty Hawk's passage directly though the Taiwan strait. (Could that have been a deliberate show of will by the United States?) Both countries were 'battle ready'.

Israel/Iran 11-29-2007: Some news reports say that Israel could 'win' a nuclear war with Iran.

Iran: 11-29-2007: Deploys a new 'sonar evading' submarine.

US/China 11-22-2007: USS Kitty Hawk battle group denied access to Hong Kong port. Starts a small naval row with China. On 11-28-2007 China reports it as a 'misunderstanding'. On 11-29-2007 the cause is deemed deeper than a misunderstanding. Probable causes: A new $940 million dollar upgrade to Taiwan's patriot missile system. Also, the Dali Lama's recent visit to the United States.

Russia: 11-16-2007: Threatening to put short range nuclear missiles in Belarus to counter any EU/US missile shield.

Pakistan: 11-16-2007: State of Emergency continues...Al-Qaeda is in the northwest area of that country. Unfortunately, that is were some of Pakistan's nuclear installations are located.

Russia: 11-13-2007: Experts say the Russian military could be on the decline. ICBM force could go from 600 missiles to between 100 and 200 within ten years. They would end up with a 'Chinese-syle' military.

South Korea: 11-13-2007: Supposedly developing a laser-based system to counter North Korean missiles.

Israel: 11-11-2007: Dimona nuclear power plant anti-missile system activated 30-times last week due to possible Syrian military retaliation.

India/Pakistan 11-8-2007: Pakistan has moved many of its frontline trop forces away from its border with India. These troops have been reassigned to fight Jihadists within Pakistan itself.

Iran 11-7-2007: Reportedly now operating 3,000 centrifuges...Enough to make a nuclear weapon in about a year.

Russia 11-7-2007: Duma votes 418-0 to scrap the Conventional Forces of Europe treaty. It was a cornerstone treaty that help end the Cold War. Will also be sending $8-$16 in military aid to Venezuela.

Israel: 11-5-2007: Israel may be planning a Hezbollah preemptive attack as they have increased mock fighter flights over Lebanese territory. Ground Hezbollah forces fired on some of the jets for the first time since the Summer of 2006's 34 day war.

Syria: 11-3-2007: Possibility that nuclear site was hit by United States Air Force with Israeli cover.

Pakistan 11-3-2007: Declares 'state of emergency'.

Taiwan 10-31-2007: Pledges not to fire cruise missiles at China unless approved by the United States first.

Iran 10-21-2007: Threatened to use 11,000 missiles in one-minute if U.S. should attack them. Threat seen against U.S. interests in the Persian Gulf region. The threat didn't appear directed at Israel.

Taiwan 10-21-2007: Taiwan to develop 'blackout' bomb to disrupt electrical grids in southeastern China should China attempt a Taiwan takeover.

Russia 10-18-2007: New SS-35 Topol ICBM tested/launched over Russian territory. Putin announced a new type of nuclear submarine for deployment next year. Also, possibly another new nuclear weapon that will be considered 'grandiose'. [Could not find anymore info on this.]

Turkey 10-16-2007: Turkey to vote on a military incursion into Kurdish areas of northern Iraq.

Turkey 10-15-2007: Rocket attacks against Kurdish villages in northern Iraq. Sends crude oil to highest price ever.

Taiwan 10-12-2007: Promised China it would not use newly developed cruise missiles against them.

Syria: 10-8-2007: Small military plane crashes near Syria's capital, killing three...This happens amid high tensions with Israel...

US/Iran: 10-4-2007: 25 insurgents killed, thought to be linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.

US/Russia: 10-2-2007: US scrambles fighters to intercept Russian bombers approaching Alaska. The Russian bombers turned around and went back to their Russian bases...

Israel/Syria: 9-28-2007: Israeli jets scrambled once again to intercept a Syrian helicopter fleet. No conflict reported...
