We've developed a special 'algorithm' (mathematical formula) which keeps close track of important news stories worldwide. Then it takes that continuous amount of massive information and then presents it to you in a simple, easy-to-read number from 1 to 10. This algorithm is very secret and cannot be found anywhere else on the internet. We have been working diligently on the formula since our inception and its accuracy is second to none at this point. A value of "1" would be considered 'no threat'. On the other hand, a value of "10" means that particular threat is actually occurring. Click Here to see our threat 'Alert Key' for more information on this... What We Do So, what do we do here at StatusEarth.com? Quite simply, we give you the real state of threats to Earth. We are not just another 'world news' site. No Hollywood drama stories here, who cares anyway? What we do provide you with is the straight-up, current happenings of the world, which includes outer space threats such as asteroids, comets and much more! What makes our site more special than many other news sites out there? Read on... Many people have asked us, "We've added up all the individual threat numbers and divided by the amount of threats, but the number is different than what you're showing, why?" That is because each of the threats have a different mathematical weighting, which often changes daily. For example: A threat level of 9 between the United States and Russia would bear a lot more weight on the overall Earth-Status number than a threat level of 9, let's say, between the United States and Venezuela. A second example: an asteroid threat is weighted a lot higher than a tsunami threat. (Of course the asteroid size and trajectory would also heavily affect that weighting. Also, an asteroid could end all civilization as we know it. A tsunami could not end all civilization.) The algorithm itself is very complicated; however, with plenty of work and careful planning we are pleased to present it to you with ultimate ease. So what does the 'StatusEarth Algorithm' cover; how can it work for you and what does it mean? The StatusEarth Algorithm covers virtually all threats to the Earth. We currently cover three main categories: Military threats, Natural threats, and Health threats. Each of these categories has its own breakdown of categories as well, which are individually tracked and ranked. Once our algorithm computes all of this, the information is then fed through and processed into an 'Earth-Wide-Sum of All Threats' number from "1" to "10". Sounds Complicated! What's Up With That Threat Number? |
